Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for technicians considering the reseller setup, and how the links + renewals work.

Looking for a quick start? Choose monthly or annual on the reseller page and you’ll be taken to the official GotBackUp signup.

What is ITRepeats? +

ITRepeats is an independent helper site for technicians. It explains a simple aftercare approach: recommend a cloud backup service after a repair, then earn recurring commission when customers renew.

Important: The actual backup product and reseller account are provided by GotBackUp. ITRepeats doesn’t process payments or control your GotBackUp account.

What exactly am I recommending to customers? +

You’re recommending a cloud backup subscription that protects photos, documents and files across devices. This is the kind of advice many repair shops already give — it just happens to be a service that renews.

Customers can choose monthly or annual billing, and you earn recurring commission when they renew.

What does it cost to become a reseller? +

There are two common ways to start:

  • Monthly plan: $9.97/month + $20/year reseller registration
  • Annual plan: $99.97/year + $20/year reseller registration

(Prices are in USD. UK visitors can treat $9.97 as roughly £7–£8 and $99.97 as roughly £75–£85 depending on FX.)

Is there a money-back guarantee? +

Yes — GotBackUp provides a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you try it and decide it’s not for you, you can cancel within 30 days for a full refund.

How do my links work — and how do renewals track back to me? +

When you’re a reseller you’ll have your own GotBackUp username (your “GBDrive ID”). You share links like:

  • GBDrive.com/YOURID (main link)
  • takeafreetrial.com/YOURID (trial link)

When a customer signs up through your link, the account is credited to you — so when they renew, you’re paid again.

Do I need to “sell” this? I hate selling. +

This works best as professional aftercare, not sales. A simple question after a repair is enough:

“By the way — how do you back up your data?”

If they don’t back up: you’ve helped them. If they do: they’ll often still like a “set and forget” option.

Do I have to be technical to set it up? +

No — the signup is standard (name, email, payment) and approval is typically instant. Once you have your GotBackUp username, you just use it in your links.

If you want a simple physical handout, use: Printable Cards.

Who supports the customer if they need help? +

GotBackUp provides customer support for the backup service. You’re simply the trusted introducer.

Can I do this alongside my normal repair work? +

Yes — that’s the point. The “moment” is already in your workflow: right after you’ve fixed the device, when trust is highest.

You’re not adding extra repairs — you’re adding a recurring aftercare income stream.
